Well, again because Prezi doesn't like me, I wasn't able to get my sources on the project like I wanted them. But here they are! All three! One is a Google eBook but it is a book! Hopefully this can get me the needed 10 points.

The Story of Pericles

Sorry it is still a little wordy, but I didn't have time to make the acts shorter yesterday. Also I couldn't get it on the blog yesterday because it was midnight and still loading, but here it is now.

also on Youtube

longer version here.

The Life and Death of King John

Here is my project on The Life and Death of King John, which is its official title. I also used Prezi. I hope you enjoy it!

The Tempest

I chose Prezi as well for my presentation; as Mr Weddle said, the medium is great but it lacks audio of any kind. But I hope everyone finds this helpful!

Henry IV, V, VI Project

Here is my project.  I choose Prezi as my medium for creating the presentation.  I would love more time with this, but it is good for now.  I will update this once I get some feedback as to the usefulness of the presentation.

Please provide feedback.  The most obvious one is "It doesn't talk to me."  True.  I haven't figured out how to do that yet, but I think I can.  It is a cooler looking power point presentation meant to be spoken with in a group setting.  But, I think I can make it stand alone, but again, more time.

Good luck with your projects!

The Assignment

Here is our goal:  To create a web-created presentation using one of the vast resources on-line to create and compile every work of William Shakespeare on one site!  Your job is to take one of the plays written by the Bard and represent it well so that if a person would like a new view on an older text, they may have that information here.

Steps to creating this masterpiece:

1.  Research the play.  Each of you have a title, so use any research materials to gather data on the play, it's characters, it's themes, etc.  Be sure to document each of your resources in the post.  You must use one of the materials that is in the Shakespeare box and at least two others to back up the data you found.

2.  Read the play.  No, really, read it.  No, I'm serious.  Read the play.  Don't skim.  Actually take the time to discover if the research matches your reading of the text.  Be sure to read the actual text and not a "more reader friendly" version.  Not that these are bad, but we are creating a document for all to use and it is vital that you are an expert on your text.  So, read the play.

3.  Go to http://cooltoolsforschools.wikispaces.com/ to find the tool or tools that you would like to utilize for this assignment.  Once you have found one or two that you think will work with your vision of the presentation, explore the tool and become an expert on this tool.  Then make a storyboard of what you would like the presentation to look like from beginning to end.  Then make the presentation and edit it for time, clarity, and function.  It should be between 2:00 and 5:00 minutes.  (Time)   It should make sense to the reader who is looking for a nice summation of the work. (Clarity) It should actually work in the blog itself or a link from the blog.  (Function)

Your work will be graded on these three items, plus the project being ready by the due date: 4-6-10.
30 points for each section and 10 for being ready on time.  100 points total.

If you have any questions, please reply to this post and I will clarify for you.

Have fun with this assignment and above all, "To thine own self be true."  - Billy S.

Welcome to our Blog!

Friends, Nobles, Countrymen, lend me your ears...eyes...fingers?

Welcome to the first post of our blog.

Our attempt: To create short, engaging, and funny presentations of each of Shakespeare's 37/38 plays so that one could understand the Complete Works of Billy in one site. Because this site will be created by students, for students, we hope that you (being a student) will enjoy this site and be able to use it to your advantage (take that Brit. Lit. teacher!) and sound smart at parties, school, dates, and weekends with your grandparents.

I am not sure of the product that lies below because, frankly, there's nothing there right now. But in two short weeks, I will have some amazing presentations to post above.

So, as my fight director, Shakespeare expert, and friend, Gina, would say, "Have at!"
